We are marvelously and wonderfully made. Within our bodies is the innate intelligence to heal any condition. A broken bone or a cut finger need only to be set or cleaned and bandaged as the healing process began immediately resulting often in a nearly invisible mend. World Health Organization has adopted the following definition of health: "a state of optimum physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity."
So to improve our health the focus needs to shift from fighting diseases and suppressing symptoms to doing those actions that enhance our body's ability to function and repair and minimize exposure to substances that decrease the body's vitality.
Changing out lifestyle to one that promotes health is the best done on a gradient, step by step. As you use up a cleaning or body product, choose ones that are safe, non-toxic, fragrance fee. Beware of the term "natural" as this has no specific definition other than that the substance exists somewhere in the physical universe. It does not guarantee that is is harmless.
The more we cooperate with the healing power within our bodies, the better we are able to survive in life and achieve our goals. Balance and moderation are the by-word of healthy living. So this New Year, substitute healthier, whole food products for processed ones and safer, non-toxic body and cleaning products.
